Well the platform name is VyRT and was initially thought and designed by the lead singer and one of the founders of the band Thirty Seconds to Mars. You may know him. His name is Jared Leto.
He has created this as way to spread the word about their own work and also other artist such as Gerard Way, Greek Fire, Linkin Park, Jonas Brothers, just to name a few.
On VyRT you have free events and there are events that you pay to watch. The content for all of them are always exclusive and you can only get them on VyRT.
The prices are always symbolic and some content has to be unlocked by the member's of the community. That's how every one has access to the events.
In some events a set number of tickets need to be sold and therefore it has to be unlocked. When the target is reached the event get's unlocked and a date and time is set to watch . Most of the time, the chosen day is Sunday. Sunday Funday as the regulars call it. Always at the same day and hour to better suit the different timezones of the community members.
Everything on VyRT was thought as a means of sharing music of sharing different kinds of musics and other exclusive content like healthy vegan lifestyles with Brendan Brazier or learning how to cook in a healthy way with Tomo Miličević, Thirty Seconds to Mars guitar player.
It's not the money or the profits that moves all behind VyRT. Music. Sharing. That's the main core of VyRT. Spreading the love for music and new artists such as Boy Epic for instance.
VyRT is in a desert island far away from the claws of the big record labels.
Some of the events unlocked in the past fews weeks includes exclusive concerts with limited access such as the acoustic concerts that Thirty Seconds to Mars held in March and April, in Moscow, Paris and London.
All events have a chat where all community members can interact with each other as well as they can interact with the artists themselves. This is all entirely free of charge and always in real time and without filters.
The artists are always available to comment with the "vyrters". Whether to answer questions about their work, to share news or ask for opinions about some random topic.
This platform was created and conceived not as a business or place where fanatics of the band hang out. It was thought to be an exchange of community experiences and shares. Whether it's new discoveries musically or different levels of cultural exchanges.
The main language used in chat and English but every day there are users to use their mother tongue and to teach others a little of that too.
VyRT is this and more.
Over time you will tend to create bonds of friendship even if you dont want to or didn't care about it.There is always someone to protect us from the one day less good or make you laugh until you can't laugh anymore. There is always ways they brighten your day.
We feel the affection from the artists and platform administrators. Which treat users not only as consumers but as peers. Friends.
The VyRTers cannot complain about lack of affection by the man who conceived this platform and that keeps it alive and active. Whenever he can Jared Leto makes time in his busy schedule to come and chat for a while with words of comfort,wisdom and sometimes seeking exchange of ideas on new projects or hear opinions on new projects or artists, in order to get some new artists to be apart of the VyRT community.
Some would call VyRT a place full of Thirty Seconds to Mars fanatics but not Jared Leto and his team.
On the contrary for the band and Jared it self they don't have fans. The band hates that word. They have an extended family.
For values of current event that requires 10,000 tickets sold to be unlocked values are around 4.99$ (approximately € 4.78) up to usd 49.99$ (approximately € 44.78). The tickets values depends on your needs.
There is a live ticket (approximately € 4.78/ 4.99$) which entitles the user to only see the event on the day and time of the event. The on demand ticket (approximately € 4.78 / 4.99$ ) allows you to download the event after it premiers, you can download the event after it happens. The golden (approximately € 8.05 / 8.99$) which is a live and on demand combined were the user can view the event live and download it later if you want. The event will later be put in your vault if you have on-demand or a golden ticket. Finally there is the VIP ticket (approximately € 44.78 / 49.9$) where you have all off the above options plus an exclusive clip.
Here the "vipers" affectionately dubbed by Jared Leto and rest of the team have access to a "treat" chosen by Jared himself. Normally the vip content is loaded with some exclusive clips, pieces of concerts, backstage action, rituals before the concerts, some pranks here and there, and the love and friendship the all share. They also show us bit and pieces of their life's on the road the playful moments the goofiness in the atmosphere, places they visited, the cultural exchanges they were fortunate enough to expirience throught the years.
They share all with the Fans. Well let's rewind.
Not fans because for Shannon, Jared and Tomo that is a forbidden word.
They don't have fans.
For them it´s an extended family whom they affectionately call the Echelon or Mars Army.
30 STM never forget or are willing to forget that the blessings they have are because of those who believed in them and who bet on them. Those who bought their cd's, dvd's went to concerts some in very doubtful places or bought their merchandise and still do until this day and beyond. They are keen to demonstrate that love and thankfulness daily on social networks and on VyRT.
Never forget that because of the Echelon they can live their dreams. So they encourage us to follow ours, not to be afraid to try and fail but if you fail try again. They teach us to have dreams and never stop dreaming and that life is made of love a bit of lust too but not in a sinful way but positively. We have to have faith to have dreams and dreams to have faith.
No wonder their his last record is entitled "Love + Lust + Faith & Dreams".
The band members never forget them and always find a way to thank the Echelon daily.
Those who believed in them have given them the opportunities to travel, exchange cultures and conquer the world in different ways.
This is the message they try to convey daily to Echelon. No, this is not a cult or fanaticism.
On the contrary. It is an experience sharing community based on something in common to all.
Music.
Nothing more than music.
Thirty Seconds to Mars music or not.
Music unites what the men try to separate. There is no color, gender, religious belief or sexual orientation, or age on VyRT. There are no qualifications, doctors or engineers.
Just music. Just good damn music. And a great sense of belonging and understanding. Every day there are acts of compassion without asking or waiting anything in return. Even if it's just gifting tickets for this or another event. All because of music.
On VyRT every one is a psychologist a love guru and a master at diplomacy.
Come meet the VyRT. Much more than a platform or a simple website but a true community where there is the "sheriff" and their "helpers".
#soon for this community not always means quick or immediate. But soon, eventually. Where "idk" means "I don't know" and "this" means that you agree with or something that supports something that was said. Lmao means laughing your ass off.
Yes, it has is own language. It's own understanding. Something only a tight and united community knows..
A community that is sustained through "Crowdfunded Events", ie events sponsored by public and where the first believers are recognized by the artists through badges that differentiate them from other members of the community, as well as a personalized e-mail as a thank you. Not with a derogatory sense but rather as a way of them being thankfull and public recognition.
At this point the event that we are trying to unlock is the acoustic concert that took place on May 9 in the city of London. The goal? Sell 10,000 tickets asap. At this time we have sold around 1530 tickets. And the number is increasing every minute.
Usually, after the events are unblocked is provided in the date and time on which it will occur. Normally it is a week later so that all VyRTer's can make plans accordingly.
This community and platform needs to branch out in order spread the word across borders in order to give notice about this project.
And yes we also need new people in so we can unlock this event and for everyone to have access to a unique concert by a very symbolic cost less than 5 € / 5 usd.
